Obituary of Effie Lee Moore
Ms. Effie Lee Moore, the oldest daughter of ten children born to the late Eddie Robinson, Sr. and Geneva Broddie Robinson on September 15, 1935, in Nashville, N.C. She attended her formal education in Whitakers, N.C. She joined in holy matrimony to Leroy Moore, Sr. and to this union four kids were born, Leroy Moore Jr., Samuel Moore, Jennifer Moore and Carol R. Moore. She also raised three foster children Kimberly, Byron and Mark.
At an early age in 1967, Effie moved to Amityville, N.Y. and joined Hollywood Baptist Church where she was an ordained deaconess. She was a member of the senior choir, later joining the combined choirs. In addition, she worked diligently in the community with Amityville Senior Center as President and Treasury.
Effie was generous, sincere, trustworthy, purposeful, and lived life with integrity. She was loved by all her family and friends dearly.
She leaves to cherish her memories and legacy of four children, Leroy Moore, Jr., Samuel Moore, Jennifer Moore and Carol Moore, two sisters Barbara Robinson, Diana Bobbit, and one brother Wilbert Robinson, two grandchildren, Maurice Vieux and Shameka King, three great grandchildren, Taylor Smith, Tori Smith, and Avia Vieux and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
