I am forever grateful that the Lewter family chose to love me and trusted in me to babysit their kids and watch them become young men and women. My fondest memory was always being able to talk to Uncle Ephie, get advice and him always taking time out of his busy schedule to negotiate deals when it was time for me to get cars. Just being in his presence brought a peace amongst me even when he was not aware of what trials and challenges I was going through. I can truly say I am the type of mother I am to my children because of how I would see Linda and Ephie parent their children. But more importantly when I lost my son in death unexpectedly and felt it was easier to just say I have two children he politely corrected me and said no it was 3 children. From that last visit with him and him saying that he provided me with closure and more strength to keep pushing forward. I wish I was able to tell him even during his illness he was still very encouraging. It has made me realize that I can’t let life’s tragedies hold me down/depressed because there are others who go through worse. My prayers is to continuously give Linda and the Lewter family strength because they have always been there for me and provided the strength I needed. ❤️
