Obituary of John Robert Susewell

Mr. John Robert Susewell, Jr., affectionately known as "June Pig" was born August 12, 1951 to Mr. John Robert Susewell, Sr. and the late Mrs. Minnie Elizabeth Susewell in Greenwood, SC. He was called home by his Lord on November 7, 2013 to eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his mother; 2 sisters, Barbara Copeland and Berlinda Susewell and a brother, Richard Allen Susewell He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Greenwood, SC. In 1983, he moved to New York and made that it his permanent home. He worked as a skilled granite pool installer in SC and NY and drove the school bus in Brooklyn, NY. He met his devoted wife in 1984 and they married in 1990. He was a man full of life and was totally devoted to his wife and family. In January 2002, his health began to fail and gradually declined over the years. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Mrs. Lucinda Johnson of the home: 2 daughters, Jana Moore (Greenwood, SC) and Mrs. Renata "Miss Piggy" (John) Taylor (Atlanta, GA); 1 son, Elder David Tolbert (Atlanta, GA); 2 grandsons, DeAndre Tolbert (Atlanta, GA) and Jaleel Moore (Greenwood, SC); 4 granddaughters, Rikkeyia Chinn, Shania Moore, Makayla Moore (Greenwood, SC) and Aaliyah Taylor (Atlanta, GA); his father, Mr. John Robert (Lucille) Susewell, Sr. (NY); 4 sisters, Brenda (Larry) Susewell (NY), Anna Jean (Reginald) Purdie (NY), Desiree (James) Key; 1 brother, Rodney Susewell; 4 brother-in-laws, Nathaniel Copeland (Clinton, SC), Isaac (Beverly) Foster (NC), George Johnson (NY), Moses Johnson (NY); 3 goddaughters, Melissa Campbell, Audrey Campbell and Regene Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
