Obituary of Theresa V. Ellis

Theresa V. Ellis, was Born on December 20, 1929, in Almirante, Bocas Del Toro, Panama to James and Maria Ellis. She died on November 22, 2013 at 83 years old. Theresa received her education in Almirante, Panama. She graduated from Poro Beauty School in January 1945. Theresa came to the United States in 1961. She was employed at Avon Nursing Home, Brooklyn, New York and retired from IBM Corporation. Theresa was a mentor, teacher and counselor. Her voice of reason and strength provided guidance and encouragement for many people. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses and a faithful sister for many years. She also offered religious education to all members of the community including prison ministries. Theresa was preceded in death by her parents James and Maria Ellis, her son Mario, her siblings Roy, Jim, Leona and Alan. Survivors include her siblings; Ernistina, Elenore, Elitia, Diana and Ernesto. Her children; Marjorie, Ana, Joseph and Vera. She also leaves to mourn 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
