Obituary of Fred Allen

Fred (Freddie) Allen of Wyandanch, NY, son of the late John and Charlotte Winn-Allen, departed this earthly life on August 5, 2014. He was born on January 17, 1941 in Wedgefield, SC. Fred received his education in the public schools of Sumter, SC. He was a devoted church member and he loved his family unconditionally. He leaves to cherish his memories a wife, Dorothy, of Wyandanch, NY; two sons, Freddie and Johnnie Allen of Sumter, SC; two daughters, Betty (Marion) Simms and Geraldine Allen- Jones of Sumter, SC; four step children, Christopher, Robert, Clifton, and Tiffany Ford; three sisters, Susan ( James) Joiner and Minnie Allen both of NY, and Maggie Allen of Florida; former wife Martha Davis Allen of Sumter, SC; sixteen grandchildren, six great grand children, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy and Jervey Allen; three sisters, Ethel Mae Wilson, Sarah Allen Jones, and Joyce Allen.
