22, 2014 in her home in Amityville, N.Y. She was the youngest of three children,
and as a young child her family migrated from Cuba to Jamaica, W.I., where she
grew up, attended school and later went on to work in the food service industry at

and spent a short period of time as an apprentice in that field. Her true passion was
baking which she shared it will.
Anna met and fell in love with Clifford Martin and they were married
on July 15, 1960. Clifford migrated to the U.S. and after living in Canada for a
short period of time Anna Joined Clifford in New York where they lived together
in Amityville, New York. Once in New York Anna worked as a mail sorter and
housekeeper.
She was a true woman of faith who loved God and attended church. She
found great joy expressing her love for God by singing in the choir. Once her
health started to decline although she wasn't able to attend church regularly, she still

Anna was very charismatic, loving, kind, strong willed, and generous to
many. Her loyalty to those she cared for was always a true attribute she displayed.
Her advice to those she consoled in their time of need was always to put God first and
pray. She loved to tell stories that made everyone smile and laugh. One of her favorite
beginnings to her stories was "I have a cousin". She loved to dance and would be the
life of the party at family gatherings where she was always the matriarch in attendance.
In her later years after retiring she still stayed active. She enjoyed babysitting
and the entertainment provided by the children around her. She was a regular
attendee at the Amityville Senior Center where she overjoyed in the activities, food,
entertainment and most of all the people. On September 9, 2014 she was admitted to
