Obituary of Bobby Ray Owens

Bobby R Owens Sr was born August 21, 1934 and departed his life Feb 21,2015. He was the youngest child of 11 to the late Clyde and Sarah Owens of Rutherford, NC. Bobby and his family moved to Asheboro, NC when he was 5 years old, he attended Asheboro County Schools. He graduated from high school in 1954. He then enlisted into the army where he traveled to France his favorite country and many other parts of the world. He then moved to Brooklyn, NY where he meant his queen Flora, they married on September 6, 1966. They continued to live in Brooklyn for a few years until they decided to move to Amityville, NY to have a bigger house for their oldest child the late Bobby R Owens Jr. Bobby would need a whole book to tell his whole life story. He was a great man who cares only about making life better for his family and those around him. Bobby was a member of Bethel AME Church and then later joined St Paul's Lutheran Church. Bobby is survived by his wife Flora W Owens, his 5 daughters Bardeana, Barnequa, Tatiana, April & Alicia. 3 son in laws Brian, Robert and Sadiki. A host of granddaughters, grandsons, great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all whom he loved dearly. Family was truly everything to him.
