I just opened up this site as I wanted to take another look at my Mom's pictures (Essie Walwyn who passed away 3/14/2015) that Hasgill set up so beautifully and I saw the name of Ronald Jimenez, a name I hadn't heard for so many years. Ronnie was in my 2nd grade Mt. Ave. elementary school class in Wyandanch and I remember him as always pleasant and smiling and a fun kid. Every time I look at the old class pictures, I see his picture there and remember that at that time (1950's) Wyandanch was predominantly a white town as compared to today. There were less than half of us who were black and/or Spanish in the school and many people, today, probably don't even know about that. I just want to send my condolences to Ronnie's family and tell them please be comforted in the fact that God has now taken over and Ronnie is in good hands, hands that will comfort all of us, one day, when we meet again.
With sincerest and deepest sympathy,
Gwen "Walwyn" Jackson
Old Classmate of Ronnie Jimenez
