Obituary of Allan F. Jarvis

Allan F. Jarvis, III was born in the Bronx, NY on August 28, 1965. He departed this life on March 18,2014 after battling cancer. He was raised in North Babylon and graduated from the North Babylon High School. Allan showed a love of travel at an early age. He was in the Naval Reserves from 19885-1985 and in the Air Force from 1986-1989 where he trained to be a Missile Specialist. After completing his military service, he traveled all over the United States driving for a large trucking company. Allan then was employed by the MTA for 23 years where he worked as a bus driver and a dispatcher. Allan traveled to many countries including Antiqua, the Dominican Republic, Thailand, China and the Phillipines and enjoyed different cultures. Allan was a quiet and private person, loved a good laugh, enjoyed Jazz, old TV shows from the 1980's and was an avid player of chess and XBox. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Allan leaves to mourn his father and mother, Allan and Dwan, his brother, Michael, his grandfather Earl, a son and a daughter, Allena, nieces nephews, cousins and a host of other family members and dear friends.
